Adding your first website

This guide provides a step-by-step process for integrating and utilizing Beelytics tracking tools on your website. By following these instructions, you'll learn how to add your site, install the necessary tracking code, verify its implementation, and begin analyzing visitor data. This setup will enable you to gain valuable insights into audience behavior, helping you optimize and enhance your site's performance.

Step 1: Add Your Website

  1. Log In: Access your account with your credentials.
  2. Add Site: Click on "Add New Site" or the "+" icon.
  3. Enter Details:
    • Site Name: Provide a name for your site.
    • URL: Enter the full URL of your website (e.g., https://www.example.com).
    • Tracking type: choose lightweight or advanced tracking
  4. Save: Click "Save" or "Add Site" to confirm.

Step 2: Install Tracking Code

  1. Get Tracking Code: After adding your site, a unique tracking code will be generated.
  2. Copy Code: Click "Copy" to get the code.
  3. Insert Code in HTML:
    • Open your website's HTML files.
    • Paste the tracking code just before the closing </head> tag on each page you want to track.
  4. Save and Publish: Update your site with the new changes.

Step 3: Verify Installation

  1. Check Status: Return to the dashboard and check the status of your tracking code installation.
  2. Verification:
    • A green checkmark with the text "active" indicates successful installation.
    • If not verified, revisit the code placement and ensure it is correctly implemented.

  2. Explore Reports:
    • View audience demographics, behavior, and acquisition reports.
